Where abouts in Lot are you Oldfella? We camped in Beauville and visited Luzech a couple of years ago and it was beautiful.

Hey Eddy!

I wish! (well, not the beer really...) the bloke next door has done it using a lamb, which looked remarkably like a dog on the spit, over half a 200litre drum full of charcoal. I haven't done it myself.

If you want to try for a Maori style earth oven or Hangi you could quiz some of the Kiwi contingent. I've been to one but did not set it up.

HI Contadina, Google Cuzorn France and you will find our village is on the borders the Lot and the Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne, not far from where you were, about 40 minutes drive
