One brill method which I willnot try to describe is perfect for bigger and small male bums. There are girlfolds too. Obviously coz wee comes out different places (and up sometimes if peter points north!)

We found minki huggles with a fleece wrap were best overnight. We amazingly managed with just two (and a tumble drier, you would def need more if line drying), we never had a night when we needed more. Although now she has outgrown hers I have made up some similar nappies fromsome towelling I had and we are using them at the moment with a motherease XL waterproof wrap (she is 2 and tall).

ebay have a policy against selling used nappies now but sometimes a few slip through the net.
A new site www.usednappies.co.uk has been set up by a mum who thought it there still needed to be a place to sell second hand nappies.
Have bought from there and be very pleased with purchases and sellers are really good for advice too !

My boys had Motherease nappies and covers. Not the cheapest but they did both boys and were good enough to sell on afterwards. And overall they saved me a fortune compared to disposables.

I also made washable wipes from some brushed cotton I had. Ditto cost saving.

We had a few leaks along the way but nothing we couldn't handle or might just as easily have got with disposables. The boys didn't get nappy rash and were both dry (day and night) at an early age which I believe is because they could feel when they wet the nappy.

I mainly use cotton prefolds and bummis whisper wraps (brilliant, the only leaks I have ever had from these have been user error). I do have a few NZ WAHM fitted nappies as well. I've also had a go at making my own. Told you I was a cloth nappy nutter.

I use either a bamboo fitted or prefold and hemp and microfibre boosters at night topped with a wool soaker. Wool soakers are brilliant at night. I've only had a leak once or twice using soakers and that has been easily fixed with a lanolin wash. They are also fun to knit.

I forgot to add: I use cloth wipes too. I use flannels/wash cloths and warm water (which I put in a thermos at the beginning of the day) to clean at nappy changes. I'm still using the same flannels 3 years on ... so quite a cost-saving I reckon!

The idea for using the warm water from the thermos came from my husband who didn't like using cold water on his baby boys bum .
