All GM trials have to be posted on the DEFRA website by law, the only way they can be secret is if people don't bother to keep an eye on the website!

well, I've read several articles saying that they will be changing the law, because in the past, ghastly people like me have ripped the damn things out of the ground..........

Thanks for your prods, guys. My immediate reaction to what I've just read is that the major concern (rather than being the risk of cross-pollination, which is what I expected) is the economic control exerted by the major GM businesses and the resultant deleterious effects on poorer third-world farmers. It's economic blackmail rather than genetic oddities. Have I read right so far?
