My OH was delighted to find 2 conker trees in our garden this autumn, and spent a happy half-hour or so outside collecting conkers in a little bucket.Millymollymandy wrote:13. You still pick up conkers even though you have no intention of playing conkers and then you wonder what to do with them.
He then brought them back inside to show me.
Honestly, you'd think he was about 7!!

Nev - my total fave Trap door episode was the one where Rog escaped from the Trap door and Berk gets really annoyed with him and anounces - large club in hand "Its bonkin' time!! 1,2,3,4 can't remember the rest!!" Creases me up every time!!!
If you like Trap Door you'll probably also like "Stop It and Tidy Up". The classic there was that you must not touch a naughty or you'll catch naughty pox and the only cure is a good sit down!!!
Hhhmmmmm - think I may have a strange sense of humour as well as being a big kid at heart!!!

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

I haven't seen "stop and tidy up" but I LOVE the trap door. My favourite was when there was something coming out of the trap door and Burk looks around says "ahh little Drut", picks him up and flings him at it!
Cracks me up - never saw the bonking time one but sounds pretty good
BUUUUURRRRK! FEEEEEED MEEEEEE!

i was a stopit and tidyup fan too. In fact, mum and i were talking about it the other day, and she was telling me that they were probably the most difficult books she had to read me at bedtime!!

I lost this thread completely by the end of page one. I've absolutley no idea what people are talking about here. I think I may have found the foreign language section of the forum - it looks like English, but...Boots wrote: ....No idea what they're on about...
Are they being rude to folks from Berkshire?
