DEfinately, don't change stoney we would all start get to get worried !

Regarding OH's mine approaches it from a different angle, he wants to save every penny he can (sensible I know) so he turns lights off unplugs appliances etc to save money wheras my motive is less electric used, we have installed a woodburner as we can get wood for free, carbon negative apparently but money saving for him.

Anything outdoorsy just doesn't get him going so to speak, he did help with cutting down the brambles on my lotties at the beginning but I think that was a power tool thing not an eco thing !

He does however have the same dream as me a few acres and a little house where we can 'play' at being ss-ish few chicks and ducks, grow lots of food start a small orchard and 'collect' the odd animal as we go. He has stated he will still work and I am more than happy to avoid the real world and live like this!

Anyway, off to grab some zeds now.
Oh, NO NO NO NO NO! I was teasing. Please don't take what I said the wrong way - I find you inspirational! I love reading your posts, I find your knowledge seems to cover just about every question I can throw at it. You are an individual who gives the rest of us something to aspire to. I would love your way of life, your commitment, and your belief in yourself. It would be a HUGE loss to all of us if you were to 'back off' in the teeniest bit.

Please accept my apologies. Sometimes I hate to written word. You don't see the smile behind them ,and believe me, the smile was there.

best regards and huge amounts of respect

Lets face it, you can take the boy out of Australia, but you won't get the Aussie out of the boy! We breed em tough over here, and folks can often get that a little sideways when it comes to communication.

You're alright mate. You can knock of the la la bit right now though. Far out, anyone would think the Scots were rubbing off on you or something...

You really give a fiver what anyone else thinks?

I think not. A bit of catchup sleep and she'll be right mate.

Well Stoney I would have said your wife was into it boots and all - AND your kids!

My husband is into it, many, many pairs of boots and all! There's no stopping him - I think it was the years being stuck in an office in the corporate world - now he just loves to dig, chop, mow, saw - anything outdoorsy and especially involving his vast array of boys' toys (tools).
