Yeah, Nev... I think 3mins is pretty close to our allocation too. Things are getting pretty bad here now. The place is a dust bowl. Just the dog running across the yard stirs up a dust storm.

I put the plug in though and then I can sing for as long as I like... while I splash about in the topped up soup that has first been used by the girls :?

The hotter it gets the more often I swim. Aaaah... I remember the days in the city when I showered at least three times a day to tolerate the heat. Now it's in and out of the pool, work clothes and all, when it gets too hot to keep working. At least I can get things done then.... But I grumble and complain because the filter needs changing twice a day!

They're funny, aren't they? Joking about our hardships over there in the land of pebbly beaches.... skiting about 10 minute showers. Tis ok for them while all the water is tipped over their way, but I'm hanging onto Muddy's water displacement theory... Let's see what songs they sing when the water all comes flooding back downunder and we get submerged.

We can start em off from inside our dinghies...
Go-od-bye to Ol' England for-ever, Good-bye to your water as w-ell...

Well said Boots!

We'll win in the end, it is a tough choice though...............drown or dessicate!

How about a recycling shower ? all it needs to do is keep a small volume of water hot, recirculate it (filtering on the way) and then be able to switch to fresh water to rinse off with. All I have seen is a prototype done by an Australian student. would be brilliant if it were commercially available, but I've not seen any around.

Not a bad Idea Colhut, I have the basics in a 12volt camping shower, just need an inline filter. I suspect that I would (again) face domestic insurrection from the fair sex in the household, although I would give in a go!

I did read somewhere that shower water can be pumped back into the heating system or to your washing machine so that the hot water gets used more than once. Off the top of my head it was a canadian company that was doing this, tried to google it and seems to have dissapeared.
