right I put this post on all the forums! As all the long distance bike rides that I plan to do get scuppered (no forms showed up for the last one) - I am loathed to say that I am going to cycle there (106 miles) lets just say I would like to.

ok all the votes are in and Devon has won on all forums.

There will be a cost involved I am afraid its £5 for adults and £3 for children. With any of the profits going to Freinds of the Earth (I am not taking a penny of this).

I now need to collect numbers to work out if it can go ahead.

please email me at andy @ selfsufficientish.com

and I look forward to meeting you all.

It might also be worth checking this site out for liftsharing if you get stuck on how you are going to get there. and if anyone needs a lift and someone has a spare seat then perhaps you should get talking. :D

Here is the venue and it will be the weekend of 12th-13th August. A game of rounders late afternoon, a chip van will be offering food and a barn dance in the evening.

Nev - we'll just have to stay at home and be sorry...
I can't make it either - my boss is still on holiday that weekend, PLUS I'm farmsitting for a friend, and my leg is still b*** weak which makes me feel like 90 years old... Can we have special games for the over 80s next year, please?

Well Nev... I don't think we should be left out. How about we plan the online cyber Aus Ssh Fest, so we can get excited too.

Would you like to be our honourary outback bloke? Grab your akubra!

We can have thong throwing comps, damper and billy tea... Set up a spot to toss the swags. My gran might make lamingtons...

Shirlz says she's bringing dancers. Can you pole dance?

They can't have all the fun now, and think we will just watch, can they?

Yep, we should do our own thing I think!

I see the formation of an Intersite Olympic Committee.

Prospective hosts for the next round would have to submit bids detailing the advatages that they can offer competitors and administrators, together with a submission fee, and be prepared to lay on all the usual transport and hosting facilities for Committee members to visit (several times) in order to assess the proposal.
