I suggested that to this lot lol!

I am trying to work out how to tell them to shove it, yet still be able to attend and also get the recognition i deserve for the work i have already done, cos if i leave now, nobody will aknowledge me. I know these people now, and this is how it is. urgh.

Wow, I feel your pain Mrs F.

No advice, big sympathy though.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Gosh Mrs F you sound angry, bunting aside, have you thought about some counselling for dealing with situations like this?
No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery

are you kidding me thegoodearth?!
do you know how much counselling I have had for problems? or how much medication I am on?! lol!!!

plus I wasnt so much angry as upset at having been taken advantage of, and a little peeved at myself for knowing deep down that this would happen, thinking i was jumping the gun and that I should give them all the benefit of the doubt, then finding out my gut instinct was right all along... sorry if the grammar is off.

Mrs F, are you on Ravelry? If you are, go and have a look at the Selfish Knitters discussion board because it might make you laugh (it's people who get asked to make complicated time consuming things for no money with about 5 minutes notice, and then people getting upset when they won't do it!).

that's it ;-)

This is why I always charge a good rate for crafty stuff even at work and among friends, it also means that when I give something handmade as a gift the recipent is very grateful because they know how much I charge for them. But I will make a note to self to stay as far away as possible from commitees and other craft for free demanding people, may be selfish of me, but sadly unless you charge non-crafty people never have any idea how much time and therefor money it takes to make things
