I'm no expert on modern ornamental gardening,or modern anything else come to think about it,but aren't those 'expert' TV gardeners always banging on about plants that give all round interest? Whatever, if you cant eat it or use it I cant be bothered.

Are the leaves fragrant when you crush them? It looks like a sort of Eucalyptus - there are dozens of varieties.
