They embed their mouth parts, which are little pincer things I think
At least you've got it out now... just keep an eye on it!

I had a large one in my leg one year and only noticed when I sat in a (VERY) hot bath. I think I scalded the thing as it came out really easily...or maybe it was the lavender oil in the bath?? Nasty things! Hope it all heals well

I'd love to see the person who would hold a lit fag end onto a mm long tick embedded in their shin........
They don't work as well as the tick removers - IF you turn them the correct way.
No it's still itching and red, even though I dug a hole in my leg twice. Now the scab's nearly gone but I think there's something still irritating me in there......
How long has this been, must look back at my original post!
