Must go and buy one when I'm next in England and see what I think of it. The only papers I've read since have been the Evening Standard and the Telegraph. Liked the Telegraph for the cryptic crossword and we've been subscribing to the Weekly Telegraph for the last 15 years. Don't get any free seeds with it though!

I wouldn't buy the Mirror because it looks to me like one of those papers that degrades women. Can't say for sure (as I don't buy it) but suspect there are a high number of scantily clad women.

Agree that the Mail is very negative and is designed to wind everybody up.

Well I was enjoying this thread talking about newspapers! If there's no new postings on it over the next couple of days I'll delete it if you feel really strongly about it, but it didn't really turn into any arguments I don't think, so best bet is just let it drift down the page like all the other old postings.
