Pleased for your other half, Shiney! I was under the impression it was you who did your garden anyway - or do you give him all the heavy horrible jobs like I give to my OH?

Yeah he does all the bad stuff, lumpin' bits around and mowing. It's a titchy garden but there's more that enough grass to keep down. I do the faffy stuff like weeding and planting and pruning.

Ohhh I love pruning!

Wanna hear a funny (well, not really funny) story? Yesterday pm OH was pruning a few leggy saplings that were growing from the field next door through our wire fence. One wapped him in the eye. Very painful at the time but that's happened to each of us before, ow. But no big deal really.

However in the night he woke in severe pain and his eye was all puffed up. This morning tried to get a doctor's appointment but he couldn't see him till noon. Our friends across the road knew of an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) they had been to, so we went there with an emergency appointment. Turns out he has scratched his cornea and has three different kinds of drops, to be applied about 3-4 times a day, from between 1 week to 1 month.

And guess who has to be the nurse? :(

It's well worth thinking about wearing safety goggles

Oh, not good MMM. Jools whipped up a bit of metal straight into his eye from somewhere when he was strimming last year and ended up in casualty. A nice doctor with a head clamp, some anesthetic and a big needle sorted him out!

This SSFish lark is quite a dangerous one sometimes.

I hope your OM is on the mend soon. But you know he'll be a very bad patient. Blokes always are. You'll be running back and forth, with cups of tea and patting him gently on the head  .

Oh god, I am gonna get into trouble here...I can tell!

I've worked out I have to apply 10 drops a day into his eye - he can't do it himself because he's never put eye drops in before - it's only an eye drop, not a bloomin' injection!!! Men, eh!
