Coriander..help!!

To be painfully honest.....(novice alert) I didn't even know you could grow it outside !!! I'm off to buy coriander seeds and start again I think!!!

Neither did I, tea. I just assumed it had to be grown inside because that's what the seeds I got said. It was in a set with parsley, basil and chives.

Yep, it did.

Our parsley on the window ledge is okay-ish, but very few of the chive seeds germinated. The basil is wonderful though.

I did actually want to grow some herbs on the window sill. I thought getting some that said they were for the windowsill would be the best. I'm learning.

Basil is grown as an annual in the UK 'cos it isn't frost hardy, so it is a good window sill herb.

TBH you can grow a few of most herbs on a sill if they're as lovely & deep as MMM's famous sills. The trick is to only grow a few, noot tubfuls like the s/market types.

I have a window box full of chives and they seem happy enough. I let them flower too, because I love the flowers in salads, and because the bees love the flowers.
