Thanks everyone!!

Neither did I, tea. I just assumed it had to be grown inside because that's what the seeds I got said. It was in a set with parsley, basil and chives.tea wrote:To be painfully honest.....(novice alert) I didn't even know you could grow it outside !!! Cloud - hope your set didn't tell you to grow parsley and chives indoors too?

Yep, it did.Millymollymandy wrote:Cloud - hope your set didn't tell you to grow parsley and chives indoors too?
Our parsley on the window ledge is okay-ish, but very few of the chive seeds germinated. The basil is wonderful though.
I did actually want to grow some herbs on the window sill. I thought getting some that said they were for the windowsill would be the best. I'm learning.

Re: Coriander..help!!
Basil is grown as an annual in the UK 'cos it isn't frost hardy, so it is a good window sill herb.
TBH you can grow a few of most herbs on a sill if they're as lovely & deep as MMM's famous sills. The trick is to only grow a few, noot tubfuls like the s/market types.
I have a window box full of chives and they seem happy enough. I let them flower too, because I love the flowers in salads, and because the bees love the flowers.
