I think it is more that the Europeans introduced the right conditions. If you think many tribes people of that area would not have worn shoes or if they did it would have been moccasins and therefore the soil would not be that disturbed. Along comes white man with his big old boots, traipsing all over the place disturbing the soil and creating the perfect conditions for plantain to settle in.MuddyWitch wrote:I was told that the Native Americans used to call it 'White Man's Footprint' as it was introduced to the Americas by them.
