I think maybe the idea is to treat nettle stings with vinegar, rather than use it as weed killer.

a couple of points about earlier posts,
The plucking machines do work brilliantly (if we're talking about the 'whizz-bang' plucker)
My step-brother made one and we use it on slaughter day when we do 60+ chickens.
Also, the temporary fencing mentioned earlier is actually HERAS, my fiancee works for them and we use the 6' fencing to fence off part of a field on the back of the barn for our chicken run, we dug the concrete feet in to the earth so that the fence panels rest on the grass. No fox has even attempted to dig under or been able to climb over in 2 years of using this run (and we do have a fox problem!)
