Sore finger syndrome - I knew it!

Mine in the nearest joint of my right index finger went away fairly early but the same joint in my right big toe is hurting. I'm very paranoid abut arthritis as my Dad was crippled by it from his late 30s, taking hope in the fact that most arthritis is symmetrical.

Perhaps its just a weird pregnant thing, a friend of mine who had twins produced so much relaxin hormone that she was confined to a wheelchair in her last weeks, perhaps its just a side effect from this hormone kicking in with me.

Well.... it came back....

I'll be making another appointment with the GP as it is very sore, swollen, red and itchy I have also developed a blister and hard lump on the same finger.

I can't help thinking that the thick leather work gloves I wear have something to do with it. I think the constant straining while trying to pick small things up must have worn down the joint... doesn't explain the hard lump at the side though....*sigh*....

Oh dear I hope you get it sorted. The hard lump sounds like a callous - and with a blister as well sounds like that's a part of your finger that gets rubbed a lot against something. When I was using crutches I got awful callouses on the inside of my thumbs that took about a year to go away. :( I don't know about the other symptoms though.
