oxford folk festival

Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

anyone going to this? I am dancing on Saturday and Sunday with Solway Morris, and am going to see 3 Daft Monkeys (on ishers recommendation...they better be good!!! ) and Bellowhead on Saturday. i'll either be the knackered looking one wearing a "Neighbourhood Witch" t-shirt, or the one shrieking at the head of the set.

Is that this weekend? Me and Dave will be in Oxford for the literary festival, could be good to pop along to the folk festival. In fact stagger along after a few pints at the turf tavern. :drunken:

it's next weekend (always confusion of this and next it is 11-13th) This weekend I shall mostly be pulling a thigh muscle, after squatting in our loo persuading a pre-schooler to perform. Next weekend I shall be fully recovered, or whacked out on painkillers.... :dave:

I'm back from the festival! I danced my arse off (got caught out by turning up for our slot and the rest of the team being still in the pub, and so had to do 3 solo jigs !!!!!) and went to see 3 Daft Monkeys on Friday (super - slightly odd choice of support acts, but there you go) and Bellowhead on Saturday (super too!) dancing on Saturday and Sunday, 2 boys spewing and pooing everywhere having caught some dread lurgy, and completely bunged up from some southern influenza or palsy, but I have three wristbands to show for my efforts and the smell of fried food in the car! Hurrah!
