investment & banking

Post: # 61797Post catalyst »

i know its not directly related to ish-ness, but many of us have cash in banks that could be doing some good, while others may be seeking finance to take that step closer to total smallholding?

I thought I would wait until replying to this post and see if there was any response from the other members. Then judge the possibility from there, as there does not seem to be much of a response I am assuming that it won't be a very popular section.

Oooh, bad plan! Anything involving money and investment should be totally avoided on forums/webistes like this.

That's my viewpoint anyway.

I agree with fee - I think asking members to use their savings to fund other member's smallholdings (which is how I read the original post) is so fraught with the possibility of disaster that law suits and much money losses are almost guaranteed. It would also catch Andy up into the legal dealings.

Besides, all my savings are being used to fund the future of my smallholding.

yes, sorry i still dont get notification emails, i was proposing a section of 'where is the best place to invest, save get loans etc'

somewhere to sahre info about radical routes, ecology building society, kiva etc

but, the idea of a ish credit union isnt a bad one... normally credit unions are based in a geographical community - but het, dare to dream, why not an online community credit union - where we can save or borrow for those tools...
quite a bit of admin, but there are plenty of us here...
