Australian subsidy for solar power in the home to double

Post: # 56544Post Cornelian »

Good news - the Australian federal government is about to announce in its budget a doubling of the subsidy towards the cost of installing solar power in the average home from $4,000 to $8,000 which is about a third to half of the cost of installing solar power in the average house. They could go further, but it is a great step in the right direction and is likely enough for me to seriously look into it.

The federal government (conservative) is being hounded by the opposition over its lack of green policies - and this is an election year.

Nice to hear that elections are good for something! Definitely the right way to go.

Lucky... our rebate is something pointless like $500. Doesn't go far!
