Have you ever tried them raw, grated in a salad ?
I haven't as I like them too much cooked, but if you leave them they will all start to sprout (bolt) and you can harvest them as spring greens.

Back on topic, I'm harvesting; sprouts, calabrese, Jan King cabbage, PSB, leeks, carrots, beetroot, parsnips (only 1 more), spring onions, lettuce and a few tomatoes.

They don't need harvesting - they come anyway...

I finally had some salsify for my tea tonight. Very nice...

No idea - what does oyster taste like?

It doesn't taste fishy - I hate all those creepy crawlies out of the sea, with or without shells, just the smell makes me sick...

Try to think of them as fruits of the sea

Do you still want some Myrtle plants Doofa ? (or anyone else)
Now would be a good time to dig up some suckers.

I think I may have finished harvesting last year's creeping buttercups, docks, nettles and dandelions. But I can see the start of this year's crop on the newer allotment. The dandelions on the older plot are all growing in crevices where the spade will not go. But will leave for a week or two and just dead head till I can get other flowering things in for the pollinators.

I harvested two perfect potatoes this morning! I was forking over one of my raised beds - and unearthed those tatties... That's dinner sorted for today.

Slim pickings here, but there is lots of wild asparagus around and the first of my artichokes should be in ready in a couple of weeks time.

Did you get my Private Message?
If you come down to collect it/them you can taste the fruit as it still has some left.
Fruiting continuous from October to (probably) April ain't bad.
