Spring Veg

Post: # 286448Post Odsox »

Thought it must be time I started cutting the PSB as I found today it's starting to flower.
Just the little bit of nice warm(ish) sunshine we are getting today does wonders.

Oh, in the same vein as my red cabbage thread we recently had broccoli florets roasted in tahini, garlic, oil and lemon. Absolutely amazing. Just saying.

Mine was ready to pick when the polytunnel collapsed under the snow, gutted that we lost it (and kale and cabbage) through frost and squashing. Parsley and sprouts survived.

I have broccoli envy

I think sprouts are like cockroaches - the only survivors of a nuclear holocaust.

Having said that I can now eat them - roasted in garlic, oil and lemon. Anyone see a pattern emerging here?
