Decluttering garage sale

Post: # 261143Post Minnesota »

I've been hanging on to many things for many years.
Last week I had a garage sale to get rid of the clutter
that I don't use. Much was sold, the remainder was
donated to a Church Youth group for their garage sale fundraiser.

Wow, thats an impressive garage sale! I would never have dared get all my clutter out in one batch...got rid of it via freecycle in small batches and had a small table in bootfair!

Wow! I love the idea of a garage sale, but it doesn't seem to have taken off over here. I suppose our equivalent is the car boot sale, but much better to have people come to you instead of carting the stuff over to them. I love getting rid of stuff

Oh my goodness! Do I wish I lived in your area last week!

Well done Minesota, what I find difficult is not to gradually build up the clutter again

Well, I'm starting the process to do this again, in about 2 months. Just think, if I wasn't such a packrat, I wouldn't have to do this nearly every year.
