According to my daughter it's going to snow on Monday!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

I think it it will mainly be very wet (with possibly a few bright but cool days at the end of september) gradually getting colder and more windy.
I think there will be heavy snow during January/February.

MMM - I am very jealous of you and yould reeeeally like to move to France right now. "Summer" in NW England has been terrible this year :(

It's not that wonderful right now Sarah, the sun came out briefly this morning but hadn't seen it for about 5 days! But it's still summer today and tomorrow and then when it is autumn I might think about winter. Or I might not, as it could be too depressing.

It's belting down rain here at the moment. Again. It's been a damp, cold, wet year and the land never dried out the way it normally does in summer. So whether it's a hard frozen winter or a mild, wet one, the croft is going to be even more of a mess next spring. And we're lucky—we're at the top of the hill. The farms downhill from us are much worse off.

I'll bet that we have weather this winter - but whether it be winter or summer I'm not going to lay out good money on.

Glad someone's enjoying it. I've been trying to lay slabs for three days now. It's hot enough just standing around. It gets hotter when you step onto the bare soil. It gets hotter still when you put down a weed-proof membrane, because it's shiny. And then when you put down a concrete slab, it turns tropical.

Me no like. Oh no, no, no.

Well, the 'rule' is that if a month starts well, it ends badly, so we have sun now, but snow later as forecast maybe?
