We picked our first tomatoes last weekend

My tomatoes are only just forming - my excuse was that we're in Wales, but you're only just down the road! What excuse can I use now?!

At the mo we are harvesting new potatoes,mixed salad leaves,shallots,black kale,peas,mange tout,carrots,spinach and courgettes.On the fruit side,strawberries,raspberries and red currants

Just eaten our first sweetcorn, along with a meal including cucumber, several varieties of lettuce, runner beans, French beans, broad beans, and beetroot - well I don't know the OH forgot the broccoli, mangetout, carrots, basil, etc, etc

runner beans, French beans, broad beans, 2nd crop of beetroot , all sort of lettuce, mangetout, carrots,raddish, basil, corrindera, loads of other herbs, the last of me cherries and strawberries, my first huckleberry only the one, ans the first of me wine berries yummy

Very chuffed to find a b-e-a-utiful head of broccoli this morning. It is massive. Can't wait to griddle it with some anchovies, oil, capers and chilli's this eveining. Mmmmmm

We are harvesting: strawbs, blueberries, salad leaves (inc. rocket) fennel, dill, parsley, oregano, chives and mint, first tomato should be ripe today, cucumbers, basil, corriander (gosh more herbs than I thought) carrots, radish, summer cabbage (nice in colslaw but why oh why did I plant that many?) potatoes (very large this year) peas, broad beans, courgettes and summer squash (first one yesterday), red/white onions and garlic and of course, eggs eggs eggs.

Courgettes only here and not many of those! Had to downsize the raised beds and then the chooks got into them.....need I say more!!!! LOL

Currently harvesting - lots and lots of salad (various mixes, landcress, pea tops, rocket, sorrel), chard which has been going since about this time last year (died off a bit under 6 inches of snow in winter then came back to life), radishes (and the pods off the ones that bolted, yum), turnips, loads of garlic, a few onions, peas and the odd broad bean.

Impatiently waiting for - courgettes, beetroot, tomatoes, fennel, and assorted berries.

Mixed lettuce, rocket, cabbage, herbs, broad beans, mange tout, about 4 raspberries each week - but yum they are so tasty, green tomatoes, and very soon red tomatoes as they have ripened!

Autumn raspberries have just started whereas summer ones haven't quite finished which is a wierd one, never overlapped before! First toms - an orange one with no name and big one Noire de Crimee. And lots of other things.

First lot of blackberries are ready. Black Russian (Noire de Russie?) is always one of our first tomatoes, but many varieties are ripening now. We are well into our first lot of sweetcorn (Earlybird) but I tried a non-F1 type, Golden Bantam, as the 2nd succession - but I think I will have to pretend that they are mini-corn (to be be fair they got hit by the cold spell, but they will be ready in about 2 weeks and the cobs are pathetically small).

We are having tomatoes, cucmbers from the cucumber plant that will not die, had one pepper but a bit bitter, carrots are nearly there I think but not pulled any yet. Strawbs all gone - poor crop this year....anyone else? Chard we have a glut! Salad leaves still going strong.

Potatoes in barrels - when to harvest? massive foliage, no flowers yet. Planted mid-spring.

Tons as usual, even first corn cob was ready yesterday but the others are not there yet, so we may have to have it between us.
