Online dating; here we go again !!!!

So I raised some £££ on fleabay and decided to launch back into the cyber dating world. The free sites are too full of flakes, cheats and weirdos.

So I splashed some cash and joined Eco Lovers a few interesting profiles, we shall see. I have tried other dating sites, with some success [obviously not that much or I wouldnt be looking again ]

Anyone else recommend any sites or got any tales to tell ?

Will hopefully have something to tell soon and keep you updated

Good Luck my OH came from a dating page in a local paper just over 14 years ago and 2 kids later.....so it does work.....

Yay! My experiences of online dating were freaks and ended up with a stalker. I did meet a guy who I thought was really nice. Still kinda hung up on his ex so we ended up chatting and kept in touch for a while. He went back to his ex, didn't work out, a few months later he was dating someone else but more than willing to cheat on her with me. Ho hum. But they were a couple of free sites.

A good friend of mine tried one (not sure which site though) 2 years on he's now married to a lovely lady he met through it and has a baby girl :)

I met my ex through a dating site. We lasted four and half years which is an eternity compared to my normal relationships.

Last year I did some research for my OU course and joined a free dating site. They passed my details on to a number of other sites and now I get hundreds of e-mails a week from all these sites. It's a good job I used a different e-mail address from my normal one.

Well that was a bad spend ! site was hard to use, limited members, turned out it shared my data on several other sites. No wonder I got some weird emails ! Altho didnt get very many at all and none that followed up to meeting anyone. Ho hum. Back to the drawing board [or ebay to raise some more play money]

Guess it is harder as you get older and know what you do/do not want, and are moving along lifes' journey at different rates.... Also can be fun if you dont take it too seriously

It's not just the free sites I signed up on a deal but won't be renewing.

I met my husband through Venus Dating. It was fairly cheap and had the major advantage that you could browse people's profiles before joining up. That was eight years ago, so not sure if it's still the same, or even if it still exists.
