Bee keeping
Anyone keep bees and want to write a short article about how you set it up etc?
First we sow the seeds, nature grows the seeds then we eat the seeds. Neil Pye

Re: Bee keeping
And how a mild winter sees them start flying early, then a cold snap in March/April kills the lot because they're no longer in a tight ball...Andy Hamilton wrote:Anyone keep bees and want to write a short article about how you set it up etc?
Yes, the Stonehead curse did for our bees this year. We really miss having bees as they have a way of making the place come to life, but replacing them with even two nucleuses is well beyond our budget. We just have to hope for a swarm or two - and that's chancy anyway.
