Need a hug
Need a hug
My partner of 8 years left today. I thought I would spend the rest of our lives together.
I didn't realise until today how little respect he has for me and how cruel people can be.
Good job I have the garden, which looks great by the way.

Oh Misty, I'm so sorry!
Glad the garden's looking good.

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Need a hug
Really sorry to hear your news.Did you feel it was coming or was it a shock? Its never easy when a relationship ends, but as each day passes,it will become easier.xxxx
Re: Need a hug
Thank you all for your hugs and support. I really appreciate it.
You are of course right. It wasn't meant to be and eventually (thank you Ruth G) I will realise this, move on and find someone else.
It was a shock really but I suppose it always is. The details are just too much to think about now but he had somewhere else to go...
Only yesterday he was professing his love for me.
Live and learn!!

Re: Need a hug
From me too Misty.
Take things day by day for a little while and look after yourself. It's natural to want to wallow - and so you should! Forget the things that you think you 'should' be doing (ironing, washing floors etc) they will all still be there later on.
Snuggle up & take some 'me' time. And remember where we all are - we have pretty good shoulders

The more people I meet, the more I like my garden

Re: Need a hug
Oh dear this too shall pass and you will emerge from it stronger and better but it would hurt so much right now, do take it easy on yourself, I recommend chocolate and the like (for me alcohol is a bad idea at times like this) so do indulge and be gentle.
