Yes, you're probably right. Just the straw and stuff from the barns at the duck/chicken/turkey farms piled up and spread about! Anyway, it has gone now and I can just smell blossom which is far nicer.

Re: What does your home smell of?
As I walked down the stairs this morning I had to smile - my house smelled of sunshine!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: What does your home smell of?
Mine smells of lentil dahl at the moment but should morph into newly baked bread when the breadmaker finishes doing its thing.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?
Re: What does your home smell of?
Mine smells of strawberry jam for the second time this week.
They're ripening thick and fast now and as ever, I always grow too many.
Nice smell though.

home made chips . I don't cook them often, but when I do the house smells of them for a couple of days. Roll on Sunday when I make some more bread.

Re: What does your home smell of?
I've no idea what my house smelt of when I left it this morning as my hayfever was playing up. But I put a posy of herbs together to bring to my mum's and an hour in car with it cleared out all my sinuses. So the car smells of mint, oregano, fennel and curry leaves. I was starving by the time I got here.

A strange mix of fresh paint, pea soup, freshly baked buns and a wet old dog - lovely

Re: What does your home smell of?
well we're now halfway through my hubby's working week so the house kind of has a slight twang of diesel and vinegar where I've been soaking his work clothes before washing them.
