Hello from a newby in County Durham!

Post: # 233985Post tracy »

I am so excited to have found this website and forum!
I grew up watching 'The Good life', and always thought it would be the most amazing life! I am now in a position to get a taste of 'The Good life' and i'm loving it! Ive got my spuds, beans, peas, pumpkins, asparagus, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, courgettes, parsley, chilli's and peppers on the go! I am creating a corner of my garden for a couple of chooks (I cant wait to see what my 2 cats make of them!) and in true good life style, I am about to get my first batch of Elderflower wine fermenting! Party, my house, in about....4 months???
Im an Art student, hoping to train as a teacher once I finish my degree. I am a single mum of 2 amazing kids, and love nothing more than pottering about in the garden all day with a bit of cake baking with the kids before snuggling up on the couch to eat said cakes and watch a movie!

Hi Tracy

Fair play to you with your growing stuff. Very impressive.

My mother's parents were from Easington Colliery. My uncle - an utter perfect gentleman - was an insurance man in Easington all his working life.

You have two lucky children.
There is no question. Cap and Share or TEQs is the answer. Even Cap and Dividend!

Hi
I joined this am - I too have only just found it. Your garden sounds amazing, sadly mind is just a few pots and containers and I am wheelchair bound so it is very difficult producing anything, but I have tried with dire results so far (lettuce, spring onions, and radish) the only success has been my Dill!
I am looking forward though to discovering all the topics as I think this looks like a great website.
