I'm not sure how you're feeling now but I know exactly what you mean. I too had a burnout experience. For me it was work related but it impacted on every aspect of my life. I was (eventually) able to recognise the problem after having had one course of antidepressants from my GP.
I knew that I had to find a way to deal with it other than taking medication. I could not leave my job as I have family commitments and bills to pay. Changing jobs is not an option either as if you have a job in Ireland at the moment - you make sure you keep it!
Anyway, I found that a change of outlook helped me deal with it. I still have the same job, still hate it but I feel nearly back to normal. I have written a short blog on how I did it. I've put a link below, so have a look and hopefully it may help.
