Spaghetti with grilled courgette,green pesto and fresh young Chevre with a daring dash of garlic.
Really like the way how the courgette slightly caramelizes in the olive oil/butter mix.

Tomorrow's stewed beef & cabbage soup.
The beef is already simmering in the stock.

Lady Balfour potatoes cut in smallish chunks and sauted with thin sliced onion and some crushed garlic, then add a big sliced leek and some runner beans from the freezer lots of salt and pepper and stirred in 3 big eggs with plenty of grated cheese on top. Then in oven (could have put it under grill) for a bit - to make a nice big set Spanish Omlette type thingy.

Cut into slices like a cake. You can turn it over onto a plate and it looks very pretty but I can never be bothered.

All home produced apart from olive oil, salt, pepper and cheese.

Please tell me how to make potato wedges like that, is it in the oven or a frying pan? I bought some smoked paprika in England cos everyone raves about it but don't really know what to do with it..... (In fact I don't even know what it tastes like!)

I make them by slicing the potatoes into wedges and tossing them in oil then sprinkling them with the smoked paprika, garlic granules and seasoning then toss that too. Pop them on an oven sheet and bake for around 30 minutes. Don't know what people in england do with smoked paprika but here in Scotland we use it in goulashes etc

I've never tried doing potato wedges (shame on me!) but that sounds good so I will try that - oooh maybe tonight!

They are lovely. Don't worry babe once they get past the whole tails, hooves and wet bread thing english people can enjoy the exotic stuff too

Like paprika, only smokey (sorry)

We had nut roast with vegetables roasted in harissa and steamed psb for Sunday dinner. Yummy!

For lunch I sliced some of the cold nut loaf and fried it and served it in pittas with the cold veg and mayo - even more yummy!!

Good job I'm not on a low fat diet

I did the spud wedges with creole seasoning and the smoked paprika but needed to add more spices. Good though and uses far less oil than regular roasting.

Tonight we are having our first feast of PURPLE SPROUTING BROCOLLI - with something, what I don't know, or care even......

Actually probably served with leeks as I have about 20 that need eating up fast.

Same here,pizza fungi...
Missus had a molar extracted,she's on fluids mostly.
Don't feel like cooking up a complex meal just for myself.
(Although I think I'll pimp the pizza with some onion rings and mature goat's cheese.)
