We're all fine as we live outside of Christchurch in the sticks.

How awful, I visited Christchurch and it was a wonderful place, now such utter devastation!

I've just rekindled a friendship with someone I'd lost touch with when she went home to Christ Church. My kids have a friend who is from there too. So I really am hoping that they are all safe. It's a horrific situation and my heart goes out to all the people there :( :hugish:

I'm so relieved - I've had an email from my friend in Christ Church  It seems that the North West of the city haven't been too badly affected, but her friend was killed in the CTV building :( I'm guessing that no one will have been untouched by what has happened.

I'm super lucky because all of my family and friends are ok :) They have no water at the moment but on the scale of things that's pretty good. Some of my friends have lost people though, utterly depressing.
I don't think I'll stop worrying until my family are out of Christchurch... Have a friend who became homeless coming to stay with me in a few days so that will be good :)
