I don't mind being the washing up fairy in this ménage, but why do those quite happy to believe in me when the cupboards refill with clean crockery get so damn exercised when I ask them to neatly pile the dirty ones next to the sink rather than in it?

My husband is our washing up fairy so no complaints there, but he doesn't put things away - he dries them and leaves them on ths side. His argument is that he doesn't know which cupboard they go in. Strange then, that he always knows which cupboard to get things out of!!!

What gets me are the ones that leave the doors wedged open and blast all the heat into the street And we homeowners are constantly being told to reduce our thermostats by 1c and wear jumpers!spider8 wrote:Shops with the heating on full blast!

Re: Little things that really annoy you!
I was listening to something about shop doors being open in the middle of winter with the heating on full blast the other day on the radio.
Seems it is actually the policy for some shops to purposely have their doors wedged open all the time they are open, they reckon more people will go inside to shop than when they are closed

Take away leaflets are such a pain - we must get 5 a week - waste of paper, time and effort and then we have to recycle them

I would LOVE to get a takeaway menu put in my mail box !!!!! Almost forgotten what a curry/pizza delivered to the door is like.

Re: Little things that really annoy you!
Yes but you have to live in a city. I saw a Dominos Pizza in Rennes and would have killed to have one, but it was only takeaway/delivery and not a sit down place!! But then I suspect it would be French style rock hard biscuit base pizza which is not to my liking neither are their hideous toppings! (lard*, cabbage, half cooked egg, andouille (innards) sausage, Swiss cheese instead of mozarella.....)
*Lard is big fatty bacon chunks by the way, often served with those nice bits of gristly bone in them.
