I couldn't agree more. I've used a few other self sufficiency, smallholding and related forums, but this is by far the most relaxed, most friendly and most helpful. There are also none of the feuds, sycophants and pedants that I've found elsewhere.

And this forum has a lot of Aberdeenshire folk and a lot of Aussies. How many forums can boast that combination?

I love the international-ish feeling of this forum. There's more than enough going on here that there isn't enough time to visit other forums!

:pale: I've only bothered looking here since coming back and that's bad enough. Will leave other forums for the winter when there aren't more pressing jobs to do outside!!!

Just think how wonderful our veggie patches/gardens would be if we didn't spend so much time on forums!!

Get a wireless laptop, install voice recognition software, attach a supporting frame to your hoe, and then browse the forum while hoeing...

What's all this, then?

We playing "us and them"... with "that Dick" bloke... making calls on who/what is better...?

What the heck is all that nonsense?

Pick up a shovel you lot, pick some fruit or plant some. There is more to life, than going up against folks, just because they do something similar.

Makes no sense...

 Just spotted your 'daily diary' in Stoney's thread.

Oh Chilli, ya funny thing...Ya not in trouble mate. It all makes sense now I realise what kinda day you had!

I live in a small community, and that kinda thing (finding probs with likemindedness) is just plain soul destroying... tears lots of good things apart, from both directions. Don't mind me. I think I was just displacing my frustration. Not cranky... just thought "Oh, not here too!"

New day today.

Have thrown in the towel on the dream of stained wooden entrance doors and today they are being painted "Ochre"... better make a start.

Here's to a better day today.

Talk to Hedgewitch, she's done it the proper way. The way they did it on the TV show is very energy wasteful and ends up costing about 85p a litre if memory serves!
