Hello from wet Scotland
Hello from wet Scotland
Hi folks,
found the site this morning and have picked up loads already. As I say raining today in the west but that means I don't need to water some of the planters I have, though I will go out this evening and wet the toms, peppers, peas and strawbs under plastic. I'm not a car driver so walk, cycle and use public transport. I love the outdoors, wee bit of foraging and using natural materials for crafts and projects. Look forward to learning and sharing.

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Could you send a bit of rain to the Lanarkshire hills please.... been dry as anything here for weeks and the garden could really do with a watering.

Hi there and welcome.
It's raining here today too, just about when it was needed.

Re: Hello from wet Scotland
So it's YOUR fault for asking, is it? The rain, yes......we could have done with some of that, but could it PLEASE wait until I've brought the nappies in off the line? Perhaps only rain at night? That would be fine.......Annpan wrote:Could you send a bit of rain to the Lanarkshire hills please.... been dry as anything here for weeks and the garden could really do with a watering.

Welcome to Ish, Jon.
I took my dog to play frisbee. She was useless. I think I need a flatter dog.

Hello St John
Arnt you the patron saint of something or other?
Great place Scotland, travelled round it for 4 months when I was 18 and had the time of my life.
Met a raindeer, a woman wha ran a cheeseshop on a bridge nr Blairgowrie who I will never forget and got chased along a beach by a madwoman who I couldnt understand but she was drinking a bottle of JD so maybe thats something to do with it. Saw Runrig live, that was the best bit!
Anyway howdie doodie

Re: Hello from wet Scotland
Hi St John I'm in Galloway and just waiting for the rain to start at last as our rivers have shrunk to nothing...........never thought I would be praying for rain, makes you think what it would be like to be in a country where the there is no rain for years.
