You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

ooh I wish we had more nettles growing here!
I am feeling hungry despite the fact I am patently not... it is just all your cooking making me so...
I have made chocolate peanut biscuitsfor the beloved husband
Pumpkin and date loaf (our own pumpkin yay!)
an experimental plain biscuit for the baby boys- turned out rather like a danish butter bisuit despite being made with wholemeal flour (a touch of almond essence thrown in on a whim has helped the flavour)- I like them and hope they will!
vegetarian baked dinner- that is yorkshire puddings, roasted potaotoes, carrots, pumpkin , borad beans and peas from freezer....
really quite full after all that "quality testing" I have done...

Going up to the allotment in a minute with friends to cook asparagus risotto fresh from the plot. Who could be richer with such riches to share.

That's not a salad it's a flower arrangement! They look gorgeous (and far too pretty to eat  ) and I am going to try something like that very soon because my first borage flower is out today. I always forget about using nasturtium flowers in salads so you have given me inspiration, thank you. :thumbright:

I love re reading all these posts as it gives me fresh ideas for meals. Does anyone have a good recipe for globe artichokes? I love to have them growing on the allotment, but then never do anything with them. Dont much like them just steamed. pbf.

Nothing special today. Just defrosting a little ham. I'll cut up some potatoes and throw a bag of frozen veggies in the microwave.
I wonder what I'll make tomorrow.

My dinner today was really disappointing! I always cook something myself but today I was in a real hurry and got some quick pasta and sauce so "cooked" that. It was vile! Made me remember why I don't buy jars of sauce! Looking forward to a proper meal tomorrow night...

That salad looks amazing btw - love the flowers!

Everything we are eating is variations on lettuce, peas, mange tout, broad beans, courgettes, new potatoes, eggs and more lettuce (with a bit of fish or meat, usually bbq'd, thrown in).........

but it's bloody lovely!

Followed by something to do with cherries (as is or clafouti) or blackcurrants (ice cream, yummy). :thumbright:

Ooh! That all sounds nice!

I'm eating masses of lettuce at the moment too. I've heard it's good if you can't sleep so maybe that's why I haven't managed to stay awake past 9 for the last 2 weeks!

Made a lovely cake today

Not been cookin the last few days as been so busy.

Got given loads of Organic fruit and veg from Abel and cole yesterday. We are not going to be able to eat it all by the time it goes off, so gave some to my parents and friends.

I was left with over 1.5kg of kiwis, so i made jam  . Its really quite nice. Tomorrow it will be marmalade and tom and chilli chutney.
Stay at home Mummy to Orin 8, Trixie 6 and Temogen 4 . Also three Chickens Dottie, Poppy and Dr Mumbo. Three cats called Flossie and Pickle and Lexi.
