Pre-Birthday cooking...

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Pre-Birthday cooking...

Post: # 201012Post StripyPixieSocks »

All contained in a nice little *cough*quitelong*cough* post on my new blog :)

http://cakeandcrochet.webs.com/apps/blo ... eparations

I made Rose Petal Syrup on a whim... we're experimenting with syrups and non alcoholic cordials for our wedding (for the kiddies and grown-ups who don't drink)

We did go out Elderflower picking yesterday and I will be making both a syrup and a wine out of it... well fizzy wine for the first time soon so will be posting about that too and trying to use unusual flowers and plants in as many ways as possible...

Just waiting for the rosehips to arrive and the blackberries *drums fingers on table*.....

LMAO! Honestly one sniff of gossip and you're off

There's no date set YET but we know we are getting married at The Godolphin Hotel in Marazion, Cornwall as it has an amazing view of St Michael's Mount out of the wedding room and we are then coming back home for a (as much as we can) foraged BBQ.

We're just making sure we can make Wines, Syrups and beers etc with foraged ingredients well enough to inflict on our family!

It'll probably be another year or so before we actually tie the knot though but we're trying to make everything ourselves including the wedding dress etc!

It just takes lots of planning and practice  :drunken:
