Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.
Teme and I had a fab time, and it was great to meet the other Wiltshire isher and have a chat. There was loads of scummy food, and the weather wasn't too unkind to us.
Gert took the majority of the photos, and is going to add some soon.
Stay at home Mummy to Orin 8, Trixie 6 and Temogen 4 . Also three Chickens Dottie, Poppy and Dr Mumbo. Three cats called Flossie and Pickle and Lexi.
Well it was a picnic of two halves, a wet half and a dry half. I'm impressed that everyone was up for eating in the rain, although we only had the odd short shower and even odder, shorter spells of sunshine.
There was Snapdragon and Mr Snapdragon, Thesunflowergal and baby Teme, Gert and Mrs Gert, my friend Stella, who lurks here from time to time and I'm trying to encourage her to join, and myself.
We met up quite easily and eventually decided to brave the weather. Shortly after we pitched camp in the field, we were joined by a very large, and much more sophisticated, group of picnicers, complete with tables, chairs, Cava and a motorbike with a picnic basket. I bet they wondered what on earth we were doing when Gert got his fleece out and Snapdragon gave an impromptu spinning lesson.
We all had a jolly good laugh, ate far too much excellent food (Nikki - can I have a recipe for the tarts please), and swapped jam for fabric, plants for plants, a baby for some chutney (oh sorry no that one didn't quite come off but I think Mrs Gert was well up for her side of the bargain, but Nikki wasn't sure the family would like the chutney).
So, really looking forward to the next one.
Zoe
P.s. can somebody remind me please, what am I supposed to be doing with all this fleece that I somehow ended up with?
Looks and sounds like you had a fantastic time, wish we lived closer so could have joined in x
the ever growing luvpie household currently contains, 4 boys, 4 chickens, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 4 fish, an empty tropical fish tank waiting new arrivals, now are we daft to look at our broody hen thinking, if we got some fertilised eggs........
