I wonder if anybody can suggest a remedy for me. At the top corner of the garden we had an aviary which is now gone. We used to dump all the rubbish from the garden behind the aviary- which now isnt there so what I have is a horrible ugly banking about 4ft high by 6ft long, full of old fence wire/old rotten wood/weedsweedsweeds/ and wrack.
I don't know how to get rid of it or camoflage it. I'm not fit and the husband is worse, we arent able to do heavy work. Is there any way to hide it, cover it up or plant it with something that will at least look nicer than a huge mound of weeds?

Can't think of anthing edible that would flourish there (apart from blackberry bushes, although they may not look any better than the weeds!) but you could go for a clematis montana - they grow really really fast and have completely engulfed our shed in a couple of years. I would imagine it would be OK if you made sure the root area was kept well watered and weed free - if not the rest.

Will that grow on a really cold exposed spot ? I have in the past tried a lot of clematis and they all died on me. As did Pyracanthra and Polygonum and even IVY for goddsake ! I must have spent a fortune over the years. (Wud've been cheaper to get a gardener... )
I will lean on a son to sort out what can be burned ..and might have a go with black polythene ..?
