You can contact a member or parliament and express yourself.

If you know of a way to help save our planet, even just a small part of it put it here. Also if you want to ask how to help, or even if you want to promote your environmental organisation. All goes here.

Thanks for this it's a great resource. I've written a message so will be interesting to see if I get a reply.

I wrote to my MP a few years ago about something in the news that concerned me. I remember having a devil of a job to find the MP's website, then sending of an email. I didn't expect to hear anything but he investigated my query with the foreign office (well he said he did) and sent me a nice letter on H of Parliament notepaper by snail mail to my house.

Perhaps I'm too easily impressed.

Anyway good to keep on at 'em for whatever reason. This time I filled him in on employee rights, or lack of the, in some cases in the current economic climate.

Cheers.

Many thanks for sharing the link. I think we should all start speaking up for ourselves a bit more!

It works! I've had 2 replies - one from an Earl and an MP.

Don't forget your MP will probably hold regular "surgeries" in their constituencies and this is an opportunity for you to put your point across face to face.

I know this as I met my then MP in Oxfordshire. A preschool I volunteered at used to provide the refreshments for the village's regular farmers market and often, the MP used to hold his surgery on the same day. We made his tea too and talked about SureStart and childcare issues when he had a free 10 minutes or so while his constituency agent fended off 10 preschool children who wanted to pinch the MP's biscuits!
