A sunny hello from Scotland!!! anyone else around here?
I have been reading articles on this site for a while and thought I would join in the fun.
We have a fair sized garden which I dreamt of having to play in for years and I still wake up excited about most days!! (the sunny ones).
It has gone from being grass and trees to looking nearly impressive! all in a couple of years. Lots of fruit, herbs and veggies and a polytunnel plus my rabbits and a worm bin. Oh and a pond.
The polytunnel we made ourselves this spring for the cost of the plastic only, it works great.
I have recently started a blog as so many people were asking me how I went about it
http://permaforestbioorggarden.blogspot.com/ if anyone wants to see photos?
a bit of a joke name but it has its own style with ideas borrowed from everywhere.
Is anyone else out there doing the forest garden bit?
Mine really happened because it is all trees at the back anyway so my choices were limited.
I have had so far loads of strawberries, rasberries, blackcurrants, 1 jostaberry (!), courgettes, potatoes, lettuce, cucumbers. Peppers and tomatoes are on their way as are plums and a few apples.

We are in West lothian as well, by West Calder.
I know the sunny bit was a tall tale but I am always optimistic!
Out of interest is any one else LETS members?
I haven't noticed anything about it on the site, haven't looked either though

Hello from overcast Scotland... I'm sitting in a office in Aberdeen at the moment. Will need to look at your blog when there's less work waiting for me...

Welcome from the wet and windy west coast in Argyll. Well at least it has been warm and sunny enough this summer to now be eating ripe tomatos (from the greenhouse).

I like your website Hedgerow hippy, even though i thought you were a hedgerow whippy (my eyesight is starting to go). I thought you were maybe making hawthorn berry ice cream!

You're not the only one! And thank you...
Your garden looks amazing - very jealous. I'm hoping to get one started this year but still trying to find a piece of land...
