so i went out in the rain to try it out and it certainly is different from the bikes i had when i was a nipper.

real friends
My friend today asked me for a favour so being a good friend i said yes no problem, when i had finished helping him he said would i like a bycicle in payment for the time i had given him, i was quite happy to do it for nothing but he said he new i would say that so he insisted i take the old bycicle,so i followed him to his shed and he gave me the "old" bycicle, which turned out to be a mountain bike with loads of gears and "suspension" i've never had a bike with suspension befor, to me this bike was fantastic i said i could't accept such a good bike, but he said thats what real friends are for .
so i went out in the rain to try it out and it certainly is different from the bikes i had when i was a nipper.

Brilliant, glad to see that people still value friendship
.
As I ping from tree to tree I wonder... why do I seem to have transformed into a pinging tree-dwelling thing?

Re: real friends
How lovely to hear that, I must admit in the past if I have had to ask a favour I try to return something to the person, I am currently trying to think of something to make for a friend who is moving house soon, as last month she gave me a huge amount of brand new nappies for the one on the way, as she knew we didn't have newborn size anymore, she being a true friend wouldn't accept anything for them, but I will make her and her family tea on the day they move, and more than likely have her 4 boys to keep them out from under her feet!

the ever growing luvpie household currently contains, 4 boys, 4 chickens, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 4 fish, an empty tropical fish tank waiting new arrivals, now are we daft to look at our broody hen thinking, if we got some fertilised eggs........

Re: real friends
I think that's a lovely story. Most of the time people ask you to do something for them and then you end up feeling used! I have just chrocheted a blanket for my next door neighbour's mother in law, who is in a nursing home, and when I gave it to her, she didn't even look at it, let alone say thankyou!! I am going to learn to say no to people in future! pbf.

That would be a wonderful thing to do, people are so distant these days and when someone makes the effort to prepare food for a friend when they move would be a big help, there's nothing worse than have to worry about food after spending all day humping furniture around, i'm sure they would love it

don't let people get to you after your act of kindness went unnoticed, feel proud of yourself that you are that special person who cares and it shows other people that any act of kindness will one day be rewarded
