101 uses for an old/scratched/promo cd

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

So that would make us ready for:

8. Bookends. Some CDs can be gently bent round 90 degrees in the middle, making a reasonable bookend for small items. A little bit of heat can help the process, as they're only plastic with a thin foil of metal in the middle. However be careful and protect your eyes, as they can shatter quite dramatically.

9. Protect your eyes and bend vigourously for some simple destructive entertainment (the ones that fail to be any fun will probably work as bookends  ).

If you had thousands of them you could stick them all together and make four table legs topped with something fab as a table top. (get collecting folks!)
If in doubt ~ use a hammer!

17. Use them as cheap decs for your xmas tree - they reflect the light well.

18. Break (carefully) and stick to a football as a diy glitterball.

What imaginative people we are on this forum.
