5. Wander out into the garden with your early morning cuppa in your jammies and dressing gown and a pair of wellies and realise that you are still there 4 hours later pulling weeds, collecting veg and have your dressing gown pockets full of seeds that you have randomly collected on your way round and now have muddled together and cannot identify.
(I would not like to point out at this stage that this happened to me yesterday - and strictly speaking I have not even reached mid-life crisis age)
At this point - give a gallic shrug, nonchalently toss out the stone cold dregs of your coffee, and saunter over for your midday glass of medicinal red wine!

6. "Oh dear, what have I started/done, etc.?" When this thought occurs, just smile, think "All right, it's going this way now.", and go on, in some direction you like.
7. Keep supplies of things you use and like on hand. If they haven't stopped making them already, they will soon.
8. Give things away so that you have more room to find the things you've been looking for.

15. Shake after No.2s more assiduously than I have been wont, maybe with a bit of knee action thrown in for the sake of maintaining suppleness.

I keep trying to think of something to add, but to be honest I intend to grow old as disgracefully as possible.

I do, but it still makes no difference.
Now what was I trying to change?
