woot!
at the bottom we have lamb chops with coriandar, chilli, garlic and cardamom marinade. Asda extra sopecial 75% pork sausages, and BBQ chicken with my mum's BBQ sauce recipe. yum!!!
We used less charcoal this time so it was gently cooking rather than incinerating the food.
oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very

You know if I gave you an old rag or a stick you'd make something beautiful or very very useful out of it wouldn't you. You have an amazing imagination there hon if only we were all as clever as you!!

Wonderful!

Just for those who wish to emulate this feat but have an enamelled bowl - be very very careful. When the fire is first lit, differential expansion between the steel and the enamel can result in hot chips of enamel flying off causing burns......

Just thought I'd mention it!

I had a very strange image in my head of washing clothes with lighted charcoal, putting sauges in for a spin for them to come out all nicely cooked

What a wonderful idea!

My son has been looking for a cheap burner to take camping with him. I'll show him this and send him off rummaging for an old washing machine.

I quite fancy one for over the allotment too .
