Money, Money, Money ....

Post: # 114385Post Landman »

Hi Guys

....... what about a SIDELINES category where genuine money-making ideas and opportunities can be posted?

Everyone can do with an extra few bob (5p for the youngsters) to put towards the cost of living or even equipment, or even a Portable Farm ....

Here's a blatant attempt to push the boundaries of me luck on the Forum ....

I have two properties of my own for sale in Canada - NO FREE ADVERTISING and NO FREE ADVERTISING Have a look at them, absorb the details and next time you are down the pub, find buyers and you are on 1% ... cash in a wheelbarrow .... just remember to let me know who you told ... my email is on the sites ...

Cheers

Must tell you, real estate is REALLY slow here right now in my area. We just got hit with more layoffs and a timber company going into bankruptcy, so you may find it a hard job to move those properties, depending on the economic situation where the propeties are,

Good Luck

I'll put it to the other mods, but i can't see it being a goer to be honest. We did have an auctions bit at one point, but it wasn't as successful as we thought it would be.

Also, with things like property, Ish would not be willing to advertise it for sale, or get involved because of the legal implications regarding estate agents, and because of the amounts of money changing hands.

If you are advertising a cottage business, such as homemade cosmetics, or a B&B then please put a link to your website in your signature and profile only.

Ish and its Admins and Moderators hold not responsibility for the goods/services etc. advertised by its members. Any advertisements and businesses are the reponsibility of the member advertising.

If you are planning to advertise on Ish, please let us know first. You can PM one of us, or email admin@selfsufficientish.com. Please don't be offended if we ask you not to advertise on this forum.

Sorry but just became aware of this, you have pushed the boundaries of the forum. It is a site for people to exchange ideas and information not be estate agents.

Okay Andy, please remove my postings - apologies to all if I have offended anyone - I accept your point about commercialism. Of course publishing a book on Self Sufficiency and promoting this through the Forum for personal profit, I take it, isn't hypocrisy.

Cheeky. You did state that you were pushing the boundaries so really what do you expect? We don't want this forum to become a real estate site. There are plenty of other places where you can sell houses.

It is hardly the same, the book is something I am very proud as this website is. The book grew out of the site and many of the members here have contributed to it. The website does not turn a profit and is run by volunteers it is in essence if not in actuality a non for profit co-op. I has been running for 4 years and I have put many hours into it, if you knew how much money the book and the site have paid me over the 4 years you might have a different attitude. Certainly not the same amount of money as selling real estate does!

Almost every single post you have made links back to the same website, I would not go onto someone else's website and do that! It is just free advertising you are looking for. I thought we were being very lenient on you to over look that, then you pushed it a little further and tried to sell a house.

I am not sure what it is at the moment but there are a lot of people, that come to this site and try and sell their wares. They get the hump if we put our feet down and disallow it. We do allow advertising in one post and in your signature, not on every single post. Imagine if everyone did the same it would be one big advert and no one would want to post on here.

I don't think we are unreasonable on here and I hope you feel the same.
