...make a wind chime?
...make a wind chime?
I am willing to buy the nylon thread/fishing string, but want to use recycled materials for the rest.
Has anybody made one before or have any ideas?
Thanks~

Bits of old metal pipe, broken china, think I would avoid glass. Hope this helps

I guess I should keep my eyes open for 'things'. How would I get holes in china for the string?Dr.Syn wrote:Bits of old metal pipe, broken china, think I would avoid glass. Hope this helps

Sea shells, bits of bamboo, old film pots, dryed gourdes, cotton reels, buttons would all make interesting noises. There must be more things that you could use that are free. Good Luck & please post photos.

Use a small masonry drill and preferably a hand drill. Put a piece of tape over where you want to drill to prevent it slipping. The second one is easy.
