oh dear, do i seem like a pikey or something?!

really, this i a great product which cuts down on laundry. i wish the rest of the family would join in - maybe they will when we have to pay for our electricity and water .

i now only use a flannel to dry off my skin and to dry my hair.

don't know how much they charge for these bodyflik things but it sounds just like a sweat scrapper they use on horses and these may be cheaper.
on a differant note if you have showered surely you are clean so towels only get damp/wet so if dried properly don't need much washing or am i just a bloke

well i wouldn't know about horses. these are about £6 and they have a flexible blade made of some sort of plastic and the contours fit my body well. the wooden one i had from body shop was long and straight with the edges curved in a little (like a half-pipe, but shallower)

towels - depends on drying i suppose. i think if they dry slowly then they can get to smell a bit musty. i think most towels get washed just for a freshen up, rather than because they're dirty so that seems a bit wasteful. tbh, i haven't washed my towels for weeks now as i don't use them. in fact, i'm going to wash them today and put them way in the cupboard .

Does it make your skin feel better?
I'm imagining that the body shop one would be slightly exfoliating. Don't know about the plastic/rubbery one.

i think my skin is less dry than previously ie i'm not removing the skin's natural oils as much as rubbing with a towel. i don't think it is as exfoliating as the wooden one - the scraping edge is quite flexible - like a window squeegee. it takes a bit of getting used to, which curves fit best where, and so on! also when i started i think i dragged it to roughly and i got blotchy, especially on sensitive bits like my inner thighs (luuuurverly!), but i'm getting a good technique now so i'm faster and gentler!

sorry, this is starting to sound a bit p0rn-like. i'll stop now!

There is more intimate detail on some of the alternative menstrual products threads!!

I'm just going to edit your post to put what i think was your original wording - the word censor has stepped in!

If i get the wrong word, let me know!

Why can't yer just shower and then run around naked in yer garden or up and down the street for a bit, wouldn't that still have the same effect??

Not quite, I reckon. Especially on the neighbours.

i forgot to mention that i shower very frequently, usually twice a day, as i exercise vigorously 5 or 6 times a week. it's a bit annoying (especially when the heating's off) to find that your towels are still wet from you morning shower when you want to get dry again at, say, 11am.

porn was, indeed, the correct word !
