101 molds for soap, bath bombs, etc

Post: # 133166Post Annpan »

I am in the process of making christmas gifts and I need some inspiration for what to use for molds

1. tetra pack (cut open vertically or horizontally)
2. small jelly molds
3. kids sandcastle molds (you know, the ones you get with a bucket and spade set - I have a fish and a starfish)
4. Pringles tube
5. ice cube trays (I have made some stars and love hearts for embedding into larger bars)

what else can I use without having to fork out for real molds

Would the thingy out of a box of chocs work?
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

8. (i think) Cup cake or muffin trays, you could use the paper cases and then you have little soap or fizzy cakes.

Pringles tube - makes lovely round soaps - cut into slices
Loaf tin - again, cut into slices

We've been making mini-bath bombs in shot glasses.... they are just the right size to sit in painted eggboxes :bom:

How about a cake tin? Then cut it into slices.

Use a small cake tin?????
You can also slice it through the middle so the slices are more hand-sized anyway.

cake cases

I've seen some fab cupcake soaps made in cake cases and then 'iced' with soap piped through piping bags.
