I have no idea what the heck you are all talking about... Am I still in Britain? :?
 Apparently there is tons of French young people's argot like that which is even more confusing. I say apparently because I've only read about it - thankfully the kind of people I meet just speak in varying degrees of comprehensible or not French. French I can cope with!

What makes me wonder - there's so few British people who bother to learn another language, expecting everybody else to speak English (I know there are more than average foreign language speakers on this site!) - but then they go out of their way to create another language (or languages) that nobody in their right mind understands?! :?

I come into contact with alot of French argot. To the extent where for my (academic) project, I'm having to adopt words like moeuf to interview people. No-one's tried teaching me "schti" yet... though French Bloke (AKA current OH) usually speaks it with friends and I'm getting an ear to understanding it.
